The Canadian hardcore bunch played exclusively to a fully packed out Borderline, at a capacity of 275 with four hugely talented and almighty men leading the way. It was really no wonder why bodies were flying, limbs were being bruised and pits were at the heat of pure destruction.

A triumphant turn out eagerly impressed and when ‘Talk Is Cheap’ off 2008’s Through The Noise album kicked things off that’s when this band found the perfect spot. ‘We’ve played Electric Ballroom and The Forum here in London before and with no disrespect to any bands that have played there or anything but we really feel at home here’ said vocalist Andrew Neufeld who’s a genius when it comes to lyrics and showing the crowd a good time. ‘Do Yourself A Favour’ created the perfect anthem chant with a commanding and compelling chorus ‘When you say, when you say how it used to be/understand I don’t need the waste following me’ rang through the room.

The ridiculously sheer punch of daring vocals combined with the most insanely heavy guitar riffs in ‘Because Of All’ took the hardcore genre up a complete notch. For tonight it is a band that have come face to face with what hardcore is all about; a tightly filled room, a band that challenges the mainstream and the devotion to dedicate all their energy from the stage and head first into the crowd. When 2007’s ‘Defeated’ takes over it’s the distinctive mind blowing guitar and pulse racing beat that boasts out, churning out epic vocals and spine tingling authority. The brutality of ‘The Trouble I Love’ launches out even the frontman; with such a thumping tune that shows they are very much well ahead of their game.

Saying goodbye to the stage with ‘Wake The Dead’ Comeback Kid certainly saved the best until last. The three and a half minutes of ear bleeding, grand pressure in Andrew’s vocals and air punches stood tall; tonight Comeback Kid had everyone eating out of the palm of their hands.
